It has been months since Razor moved in into the ranch. She was still a Servine/Tyrantrum then, and now she's a magnificent looking Serperior/Tyrantrum/Midnight-Lycanroc cross; exchanging her short arms for a longer powerful arms, losing her pair of wings for sets of beautiful icy spikes and claws, as well as trading her hind legs for a more powerful earth-crawling, all muscle packed serpentine body in her newly evolved form.

Before moving in to live with her mate in this ranch, she had only once visited the Derby ranch when Prix the male Houndoom/Floatzel cross was looking for mates before, where - after a loud yet quick argument and a short fight between the two - she managed to proved herself worthy of his, and was later chosen as one of the notorious canine's mates.

She also bore him a few children at those time. A son in particular, a Floatzel/Tyrantrum cross with the name Star, the only chosen one to be kept at home by their trainer out his few siblings, was really proud and boastful of his parents' bloodline. Even more so when his mother Razor moved in to live with them.

Prix personally didn't like how his son has always acted all high and mighty among his other half-siblings. The said pack leader never like how that youngster bragged about how he - and his mother - were better than his other half-siblings. For Prix, the only child of his that worth the high status in the pack was Dance, his eldest daughter and heiress of the family. Has been, and will always be.

Razor herself realized the situation between his mate and their son, but since Prix himself never came to her to talk about it - never told her to control her son, their son, so she just shrugged, never really do anything about it and simply let it slide as just another of the Prix's infamous short temperament; while Star himself simply never learn and always found himself poking at his father's temper, yet smart enough to get away with it without any serious fight broke out.

The serpentine mother was never that close with that son of theirs anyway, for she had left the ranch short after their son just hatched back in those year, and now he has already long evolved after they reunited back in this ranch. Star himself was not close with his mother in particular either, aside of using her name and/to bragging her around as his father's mate; nothing more, nothing less. There were even times where Razor herself cringed at how Star went around boasting about himself and her to the others.

Talking about temperament, Razor was mildly surprised by the fact that, despite his notorious reputation - and her first impression towards him years back, on daily basis Prix was mostly calm and lazing around all day, snoozing while bathing under the sun, up at the highest point of a rocky outcropping in this southern part of the ranch. Sure there were time where Prix burst in anger, all snarl and growl, but it's not something that's commonly happened 24/7 in this ranch, and only could be seen like when Star pissed him off, for example.

As so as the ranch itself, unlike the rumors of what the ranch was infamous for by most people in Nation, there were no fights between ranch mates, everyone's following the rules; each pack, clan, or herd, were staying in their own respective territory. Everyone was actually pretty laid back and minding their own business. As long as they follow the ranch's rules that's it, for the guards have all the right to attack and punish those who dare to break those rules.

The only warning that she got from everyone around her was to stay away from the western territory. The only place in the ranch where 'Survival of the fittest' was tested at utmost to anyone who's either brave or insane enough to live there. Thankfully, as much as Razor was curious about it, there must be a reason why everyone she met - Prix included - have told her to stay away, and she didn't plan to enter that dark forest on the western part of the ranch. For now, the female serpentine-cross was simply going to enjoy and content with her new life in this ranch. There's no need to dive into an unknown danger when many have clearly warned her about it.

Oh- that, and as well as to stay away from Hisei, their master, the only human living in this whole ranch. Unless it's a really urgent matter or an emergency situation, no one should ever disturb the sole human living in this whole ranch with a pathetic excuse. It's the most absolute golden rule that literally everyone in the ranch abide with no questions asked. No if and buts period.

Razor could only wondered to herself - seems like Prix was not the actual tyrant of the ranch despite everyone on the outside believed him as such; from what she has learned, it was more to this human Hisei who sounded like one. Sure she only saw Hisei every now and then, like when she's being transferred over to this ranch for example; and when she did get a glimpse of him, it was always from afar, and with two of his prized dark colored Arcanine-cross in tow behind the man. A man of silent, with deadpan expression and sharp piercing gaze, one that rarely could be seen outside the house, especially in broad daylight, yet feared by many if not all members of this ranch.

Razor stretched her serpentine body out after curling up for quite a time, yawning, rubbing her neck with her paw, gently brushing the scars Prix inflicted to her when they fought for the first time years back. With her mate's in her thought, she slightly raised her head, her eyes shifted to her mate who was still lying on his stomach not too far from her position ahead, silently scanning the area around as he make sure his pack members down below didn't cause any trouble.

A small shiny-morph Rowlet, which surprisingly enough was Prix's youngest half-sister Mofu, one that also unexpectedly kept by Hisei (in which many ranch residents guessed must be influenced from that what so called 'Dad' man who apparently rumored to be hoarding a lot of those small round bird recently) was resting and napping soundly on her eldest brother's back.

For someone who tend to argue or fight head-to-toes with his other siblings, Prix himself seems to have a tad bit of soft spot for the lil' cuddly bird, always letting her rest on his bony-back. The image of something consider so round, cute, and soft on something so ferocious-looking was indeed surreal.

Mofu was one of the children from the second litters born between their father Dream with now his mate Jewel; in fact, they were their last litters that they'll ever produced, for the couple has decided to retire from breeding now. And despite being lifemated, the two didn't actually stay in the same area of the ranch; Dream stays in the southern part, while Jewel still lives in the northern part of the ranch. The pair often visit each other though, but of course, with Prix's permission when so.

Razor's gaze shifted toward Prix's very own father Dream, now a 6-legged Houndoom/Marowak/Walrein cross who also could be seen on the same rocky outcropping as them. The much older cross has long awake just like them, but he was simply lying there quietly with his head resting on the ground.

Razor herself didn't know what had happened between her mate and his father before, but everyone with eyes could see that Dream was a very submissive figure despite being the father of the said notorious Prix. The alpha tend to snarled and snapped at the older cross even for a slightest matter, while Dream could only hanged his head low and submissively apologizing to his son despite he didn't do nor said anything wrong most of the time. He really did look pathetic in contrary to the fame of his very own eldest son.

Although Razor, and few others who realized it, Prix recently seems to be more lenient with not only many of his pack members but also his father as well. No one really sure why with the sudden change of heart, or who talked a bit of sense into him that made Prix became more tolerable especially with his father, or it's simply his age that has tamed him down, who knows; but no one really bother to asked about it, and preferred to leave it as it was. A lenient Prix is better than an angry Prix after all.

Back to peacefulness of the surrounding, Razor silently exhaled and sighed to herself. When she was still at her birth ranch, there has always been something to do in that ranch. Her grandfather, who was the leader of her previous ranch, has always been busy with something, and tend to include his family with activities, either training, fighting - or keeping Nation's peace as what they said (or dreaming an unrealistic goal, as according to Prix who shunned at the idea of both conquering Nation and/or keeping world peace). In this new home, group activities were rare to almost none. Everyone tend to themselves, train or nap, their choice, were done only whenever they want or feel like it. So much for a place that has been labeled as terrorizing ranch.

"You bored?" Prix spoke up, realizing how his mate has been silently stretching and twitching behind in boredom. His voice flat, and he didn't even really turned his head all the way back to look at her, simply just glanced at her over his shoulder, from the corner of his eyes, didn't made any sudden movement so he won't disturb Mofu's peaceful nap.

Razor blinked, taken by surprise, she didn't expect that.... that Prix was actually paying attention to her. Sure she was his mate. Correction, one of his mate - the only one who actually lived with him still; but they never really have any close or romantic relation between them despite being mated to each others for quite a while now. They were more to partners who respect each others' existence more than a soul mate. Nor that Prix seems to be a romantic type.... In fact, that the thought of Prix being lovey-dovey to her almost made Razor rolled her tongue out in disgust.

"Well?" Prix asked again, his head slightly turned around to face her now. Prix would raise an eyebrow if he had one, wondering why with the wrinkled snout and sour expression his mate just had from her very own internal thought.

"Nah, just trying to get used to my new form...." She simply shrugged, not wanting to nag to her mate over something trivial like this.

Prix stare at her for a moment before turning his head back toward the horizon, "If you say so." He lightly shrugged.

Razor shifted her serpentine body to different position before she cramped herself over from Coiling herself in the same position for hours; only then from the corner of her eyes, she realized that Dream has been silently looking at her direction. When the two pokemon's gaze were locked toward each other, Dream gave her a small nod toward her before breaking the gaze away, back to his son in front of them.

Razor slightly pull her head back, somewhat confused with what just happened and wondering why with that reaction from Dream, yet not sure whether she should asked about it, especially after knowing how his mate and his father's relationship tend to be. She didn't want to cause the old pokemon to be snapped at again just because she opened her mouth and asked him something that's probably not important at all.

In the other hand, Dream himself was glad that his son have someone outside his own descendants that he cares - even though he showed it in his own strict and stoic way. Something that Prix would never acknowledge if he's ever confronted with such question, so Dream simply kept it to himself.

Dream soon rose up to his feet, carefully picked up the large femur bone the old pokemon has always have ever since he's a mere pup with one of his foremost paw. The old cross used to be limping around when he had to walk while holding the said bone, but after becoming 6-legged, he could support his body balance properly and better with his other 5 legs; which really helped his old body a lot to moved around more easily with the extra supports, and he was really thankful for that, especially when he has to walk all the way to the northern part of the ranch.

Dream could felt his son's sharp yet silent stare to him when he was moving down the ledge. The elderly pokemon knew better than anyone to stay by his son's sight. As much as Prix tend to pushed him around, he could be considered quite possessive towards his father as well, never actually letting him roamed around without his permission.

Dream himself in particular didn't mind his restricted freedom, and tend to stay close to his son as well. It was Dream's own vow and wish to always stay by his eldest son's side, as a repentment for ignoring his son as a pup in the first place many many years ago. Once the old cross reached the bottom of the stone ledge, just right under their usual resting spot, he flopped down to rest; giving his son and his daughter-in-law their alone-time and space.

Prix's gaze shifted away from Dream soon after Mofu woke up from her nap; realizing their father has moved down the ledge, the female Rowlet ruffled and puffed her feathers, hopped off Prix's back, rubbing herself toward his elder brother's side in affection before flapping her small wings to glided down from the top of the ledge, to now cuddle and coo between her father's forelegs as the old cross stretched the ol' cracking limbs and body.

Dream nuzzled his young daughter who again puffed her soft furs happily in affection. The elderly cross simply chuckled to himself, "What a peaceful day today....."

The story was incredibly engrossing for being little more than the musings of a lazing Pokémon! Great work~ :iconclapplz:
